having had a sony camera for years and now having a more expensive main camera we found we needed a cheaper camera for those day to day events.
having got it going which took minutes this camera as all sony cameras delivers some exceptional photos and video for a bargin price. a super buy and worth every penny and taking less than 60 seconds to get it working just what is needed.

Bought this camera for my trip to Benicassim, a music festival in Spain. Fantastic picture quality and extremely simple to use, and to the high standard that you expect from anything made by Sony. Great pocket size too, although I would recommend getting a case for this as the screen could be quite easily scratched without protection. There is a wide variety of options for your shots, and the picture quality is a pretty high standard for the price.
A minor niggle is that there is no speaker, so if you do take a video you can't hear the sound until you plug it into your computer when you get home. Having said that this is a camera and not a VIDEO camera, so this is a minor issue.
All in all, great value and I definitely recommend this camera for anyone looking for a reasonably affordable, easy to use piece of kit.

Bought one of these for my son who is in the army. This was lost or stolen within 3 weeks but had already left an impression. I bought him a replacement for his birthday and "added" one for myself. I have been a photographer for many years, both amateur and professional and have lots of cameras, both film and digital so to buy another made little sence (ask my wife". I was however so impressed with the results from this little sony that I "neaded one", (its a man thing). The results are stunning, I hear people moan about it running on AA batteries. I find this an ADVANTAGE! you can buy them anywhere and if you do as I, use 2500mA rechargables, it lasts forever on a charge. I have compared the results with photo's taken with my Olympus E510 which cost about 6 times as much and it compares quit well. I bought these cameras via the cheap option price as shop-soiled or marked. All of the cameras arrived in as-new condition and I would say the boxes had never been opened. If your looking for a small digital thats as easy as you want it to be, look no further, this is a great little camera.

this was an ideal first digital camera. it was easy to use,smart and compact. The camera arrived in good time.
