| Customer Reviews: LCD L1734S June 4, 2010 Andrew Lambert (UK) This is a stunning monitor for the price. Simple controls, simple set-up, no problems using - very impressed. Will be buying another soon to replace an older monitor.
Good Product March 5, 2010 Stephen White (Yorkshire) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Seems to be a good monitor - connection and setup straight forward as it should be. Picture good. Took a little while to get the colour balance I like and in its normal setting the monitor is very bright but this can be turned down.
Good value monitor but power down issues April 27, 2010 S. HICKS (Midlands UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Monitor easy to set up, excellent contrast and brighness and good viewing angle.
Bought it to replace a broken Dell monitor.
HOWEVER - cannot get it to power down when PC goes into hibernation or sleep mode.
Have reloaded drivers, changes settings etc but to no avail!
Only way to power down is turn it off.
Interested if any one else who buys this product has a similar issue.
LG L1734S - good but won't go into energy saving mode May 16, 2010 Paul W (Devon,UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Interesting to see another review mentioning problems getting the monitor to go into energy saving mode. In all other respects this is a good monitor. I tried to get this monitor to go into energy saving mode both using the windows default installed driver and the supplied driver and on two different PCs. Further I contacted LG support to find out if anyone else had reported this issue, LG said no. I used the Amazon return facility to get it replaced by another and the replacement had exactly the same problem, but I decided to keep it as in all respects it worked well and a 17ins LCD monitor is not that power hungry anyway. The off button on the monitor is in the bottom RH corner which makes it easy to turn if off and this of course is the most energy efficient option to use.
